KUALA LUMPUR: Bioalpha Holdings Bhd continues to maintain its core business focus in providing professional original equipment manufacturer (OEM), original design manufacturer (ODM) and contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) services to global clients.
According to the company's statement, the health product manufacturer has developed its own cultivation and procurement system for key herbs including misai kucing, tongkat ali and soursop, thereby enabling strict quality control from the source stage.
"All Bioalpha manufacturing facilities comply with halal certification standards, thereby ensuring internationally recognised production quality and facilitating entry into various global markets. As a publicly listed company, Bioalpha also maintains financial transparency and long-term credibility to business partners," according to the statement.
Bioalpha announced that its misai kucing operations reflect the strength of the company's integrated business model.
The company announced that standardised cultivation began in 2012, while international exports commenced in 2018.
"Currently, 100 percent of misai kucing is self-cultivated and fully certified under the Malaysian Good Agricultural Practices Certification Scheme (MYGAP).
"It maintains dedicated cultivation areas of approximately 12.1406 hectares in Pasir Raja and 28.328 hectares in Desaru, thereby ensuring a stable, traceable and high-quality supply of raw materials," it said.
According to Bioalpha, the current annual export volume for misai kucing is approximately 10 tonnes, with capacity expected to increase to 20 tonnes within the next two years to meet growing international demand.
The company announced that the South Korean market has emerged as a key growth driver, with Bioalpha establishing direct cooperation with a leading Korean brand owner under a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) as the main supplier for raw materials and finished products.
